The Spa At Hope Springs

At Hope Springs, massage therapy isn’t positioned as a luxury add-on. It’s part of a larger philosophy of wellness rooted in rest, recovery, and nervous system reset.

Rejuvenate your mind and body with our spa services designed for those looking to unwind and focus on their overall well-being.

  • Please email our spa at spa@hopespringsresort.com or use the contact form below to book your treatment.

  • Yes, we have a dedicated spa treatment room on-site where our massage therapists perform all spa services.

  • Yes, we offer the option for a 90-minute in-room signature massage for couples.

Our treatments are performed by experienced therapists and take place in the comfort of your room, creating a seamless, uninterrupted experience.

Because in-room services require the coordination of two therapists, advance notice is strongly recommended to ensure availability. When schedules allow, we’re happy to accommodate shorter-notice requests or offer back-to-back treatments as an alternative.

For more information, please see our Spa Menu.

  • We recommend reserving your massage in advance of your stay whenever possible.

Same-day appointments may be available on a limited basis and are confirmed based on therapist availability. Once scheduled, these appointments are considered final.

We understand that plans can shift while traveling, and we’ll always do our best to accommodate when possible—a little notice simply allows us to do so thoughtfully.

  • To support our therapists and honor their time:

    • We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes

    • Appointments adjusted within 24 hours are subject to a 60% service fee

    • Same-day bookings are non-cancellable once confirmed

The Science of Slowing Down

Research continues to show that regular massage therapy may support better sleep, reduced stress hormones, improved circulation, muscle recovery, and overall wellbeing. Combined with mineral hot springs, quiet surroundings, and minimalist design, massage becomes part of a more intentional approach to health

  • Reduced Muscle Tension & Faster Recovery

Massage helps relax tight muscles, improve blood flow, and reduce physical tension caused by travel, stress, exercise, or long hours sitting at a desk. Increased circulation may help deliver oxygen and nutrients more efficiently throughout the body while supporting recovery after physical activity.

    Guests often report:

    • Less stiffness and soreness

    • Improved flexibility and mobility

    • Reduced neck, shoulder, and back tension

    • Better recovery after hiking, workouts, or travel

    Improved Circulation

Therapeutic massage stimulates blood and lymphatic flow, which may help reduce inflammation and support the body’s natural detoxification processes. Improved circulation can also contribute to feelings of warmth, relaxation, and overall physical ease.

    Better Sleep Quality

Multiple studies have linked massage therapy to improved sleep quality and deeper relaxation. Massage may help calm the nervous system and reduce physical restlessness, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. For many guests, the combination of hot mineral water, quiet surroundings, and massage creates one of the deepest nights of sleep they’ve had in years. Support for Headaches & Stress-Related Tension Massage therapy may help reduce the frequency and intensity of tension headaches by easing tightness in the neck, shoulders, jaw, and upper back — areas where stress is commonly held in the body.

  • Lower Stress Hormones

Studies suggest massage therapy can help reduce cortisol — the body’s primary stress hormone — while supporting production of serotonin and dopamine, neurotransmitters associated with mood and emotional wellbeing. In simple terms: people often leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more emotionally balanced.

    Nervous System Reset

Modern life keeps many people in a constant “fight or flight” state — always alert, always scrolling, always responding. Massage encourages activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, sometimes called the “rest and digest” state.

    This shift may help:

    • Lower heart rate

    • Reduce feelings of anxiety

    • Promote mental clarity

    • Create a greater sense of calm and groundedness

    The Psychology of Touch

Human touch plays an important role in emotional regulation and wellbeing. Therapeutic massage provides intentional, calming physical connection in a safe and restorative environment — something increasingly rare in a digitally overloaded world

  • Some research has even found long-term wellness differences among people who regularly prioritize recovery practices such as massage, stress reduction, quality sleep, and mindfulness. While massage is not a substitute for medical care, consistent wellness practices may contribute to healthier lifestyles, improved stress management, and better overall quality of life.

At Hope Springs, massage therapy is part of a broader experience:

    • Quiet spaces without sensory overload

    • Mineral-rich hot springs

    • Minimalist rooms designed for restorative sleep

    • Slower mornings and unstructured time

    • A setting intentionally built around relaxation rather than distraction

  • We believe wellness doesn’t need to be complicated.

Sometimes healing looks less like optimization — and more like silence, warm water, deep sleep, and finally allowing your body to exhale.

Massage appointments can be added to any stay and are available for individuals, couples, private retreats, and full-property buyouts.
